BUHARI SPEAKS

The All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari aka Okechukwu (rtd.), has called on his party’s supporters to avoid acts of violence during and after the coming elections on Saturday 28th March, 2015.

Making this call in Bauchi on Tuesday 24th March, at the North East Zonal Presidential Campaign Rally, Buhari said, “I call on all the APC supporters in the zone to make sure that they remain peaceful on election day and refuse any intimidation to cause violence".  “You should make sure you have your permanent voter cards and vote for those you want to be your leaders" he said.

According to him, his reason for the call was because some people did not want the elections to hold and were looking for any reason to stop it.

The former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, governors Kashim Shettima and Ibrahim Gaidam were also present at the rally.

Speaking at the gathering, Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno Sate appealed to the supporters to remain united and peaceful and vote massively for APC candidates in all the states within the zone while Atiku described the northeast as the most underdeveloped region in the country and urged Buhari to solve its problems when elected.
