Buhari's visit to Imo state today

The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, has carpeted the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led federal government over its inability to tackle corruption and insecurity ravaging the country.

Buhari during his short visit to Imo State
Government House, Owerri, accompanied by the national chairman of APC, Chief John Odegie, Sen. Chris Ngige and his campaign director,Governor Rotimi Amaechi among others, described the present administration of President Goodluck Jonathan as a failure.

The former military head of state vowed to deal with the corrupt officials if elected the next president of the country.

Buhari recalled that as a former head of state, his administration took frantic steps in tackling corruption by refusing to remove subsidy in petroleum adding that during his period N1.00.00 was equivalent to $1.4.

He said: “What the PDP people want is to remain in power and they don’t care about what concerns other Nigerians.”

Receiving Buhari at the Government House Owerri, Governor Rochas Okorocha said he contested for the presidential ticket of the party with the aim of defeating Buhari in the race while assuring him that the people of South East would give him bloc votes during the election.

Okorocha appealed to Buhari for additional state for the South East and for the construction of a second Niger bridge if he becomes the next president of the country.

A keke driver, Mr. Andrew said "This man Buhari is the man. The truth is clear to you and me. Shun rumor,  gossip, lies from friends who are not"
Thanks
